Description
A "composite layer" is a layer consisting of 2 or more <image> layers composited together. This is handy if you always want 2+ layers merged and cached as one set. It would also be a way to support the GDAL driver pointing at a set of arbitrary source files (today all source data in one GDAL layer has to be homogeneous).
